Calvin Klein - Coachella

Calvin Klein built an installation on the Coachella festival grounds in April, 2019. I was involved from the initial concepts stage up to being on site through the final day of the activation and post-activation reporting. From the wallpaper and staff badges to the customization process and design, I played a crucial role in the development and production of this major moment for the brand.

This project was one of my favorites during my time at Calvin Klein. I was able to really exhaust my skillset and push myself to learn new techniques and skills - such as pattern making for wallpaper production. Up until this point, most of my professional experience was digital design for social media or designing internal communications decks. This opportunity afforded me the chance to develop both digital and physical design solutions that I ended up being fortunate enough to step into and see/touch and experience.

I selected the color palette and materials used throughout the experience.

We turned the bathtub into a ball pit, resembling a tub full of bubbles, for another photo opportunity. Some of the translucent balls had the CK monogram on them and guests would "sneak" them out in their bags and pockets, becoming keepsakes.

The Calvin Klein monogram was engraved into alternating tiles within the bathroom space to add another layer of branding to the space, creating an all-over pattern.

I hid more branding touchpoints throughout the experience like the social hashtag decal on the mirrored ceiling of the bedroom.

I was tasked with designing and producing repeating wallpapers for several rooms throughout the house.
